What is COVID-19?
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Most people infected with the virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and will recover without needing specific treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention. The elderly and those with underlying medical conditions are more likely to develop severe disease. However, anyone at any age can become seriously ill with COVID-19.
What are the symptoms of Covid-19?
Symptoms can appear from 2 to 14 days after the person comes into contact with the virus. On average, symptoms take 5-6 days from the moment someone is infected with the virus to appear.
The most common symptoms: Fever, cough, fatigue, loss of taste or smell.
Less common symptoms: Sore throat, headache, aches, diarrhea, skin rash or discoloration of fingers or toes, red or irritated eyes.
Serious symptoms: Difficulty of breathing or shortness of breath, loss of speech or mobility or confusion, chest pain.
Seek immediate medical attention if you have severe symptoms.
When should I take the Sejoy Sars-Cov-2 test?
If you have symptoms, get tested right away. If you have been exposed to COVID-19 and have no symptoms, wait at least 5 days after your exposure before testing because if you test too soon, you may be more likely to get an inaccurate result. If you belong to a high-risk group, you may need to have the test as part of a screening test. If you suspect or have symptoms of COVID-19, be sure to get tested before coming into contact with a high-risk person.

* In general, a lower CT value indicates a higher viral load and a higher CT value indicates a lower viral load. For example, a patient with a CT less than or equal to 28 has a higher viral load than another with a CT greater than 32. Thus, we understand that the higher the viral load, the greater the accuracy of the test.
